The Mutomo Nursing School in Mutomo, Kenya, began its new first term on 1st October 2017. This new school, in a remote area of Kenya, provides aspiring students the training needed for each to become a registered nurse. The facility and faculty provide previously unthinkable hope to the 17 young men and women selected for the first class.
Thanks to the generous financial support of several Christ & St. Luke’s Episcopal Church members, a “Bursary Fund” has been established. This fund will provide financial assistance to needy students as they complete 43 months of nursing training. The fund serves as a “financial safety net” for students who, during the term of their training, are unexpectedly challenged to financially fund their tuition. It gives each a means by which to complete their training, if needed. The kindness will ripple loving care to so many in need in Kenya.
