Early childhood education is an essential component of development, helping children form cognitive and language skills as well as social and emotional competency. In Africa, only one quarter of the children attend some form of early childhood education.

Kenya’s pre-primary education exceeds that average because of dedicated teachers as Lydia Wangeci. Lydia has pursued establishing and staffing a pre-school in her Gatano community. This Kenya village is home to the “poorest of the poor” and children often attend school without any nourishment. Together for Kenya is blessed to be able to help Lydia and these 25 children begin their education.
