We will finish discussing Paul Lang’s The Pilgrim’s Compass: Finding and Following the God We Seek. Paul is a friend of mine, a wonderfully gifted and funny Presbyterian pastor. He uses the word pilgrimage to describe our faith journeys, whether we stay home or hear God’s call to “go” to a distant land. Paul uses stories from Scripture to show us that after an encounter with God on our pilgrimage, we struggle, are wounded or wander in what seems like a wilderness, and then we are given a new name. Like Jacob in Genesis 32, Abram and Sarai in Genesis 12-17, Peter in Matthew 16. Come share your faith journey with others and encounter our risen in Lord in their stories, whether you’re able to read the book or not.
